A few weeks ago I bought two mats from the very helpful lady at this store. She was full of advice and help on what the mats were made of, where they came from etc and the price was very good. The quality is excellent.
Based on that experience we returned to buy a large rug and had the same sort of experience with the owner of the store. He offered free delivery and when he arrived gave advice on the best way to lay and show the rug. He even sorted out all the tassles. The price was very good and the customer service brilliant.
This is a gem of a store hidden in a suburban shopping centre. Totally recommended.

Suleiman and his colleagues really understand their carpets. Twice now I've been offered significant savings on fine genuine rugs from Iran and Faryab in north Afganstan. Their stories are communicated with real understanding of the symbols and history, weaving together a wonderful rug buying experience. They know we all want a story to tell, as we introduce our family and friends to our new ( and reasonably priced ) carpet. A mainstay of the Mawson shops. Go there. You'll not regret the visit.

Stopped in here to have a look before visiting the rug shops in Fyshwick. Soon we were back in Mawson because the range is exceptional for such a small shop, and the advice from the very friendly owner was excellent. We bought two large wool rugs that were nicer than we had seen elsewhere - the owner delivered them for free the same evening. Very impressive all round - shop local! Very happy to recommend.
