It’s important to read the terms and conditions in full before entering this competition, but here’s a summary of the key terms:


  • Entry is open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 18 years old and over who have an active Afterpay customer account (Eligible Entrants).

 

  • The Promotion opens each day at 8:00AM AEDT (10:00AM NZDT) on 16 March 2023 and closes at 11:59PM AEDT on 19 March 2023 (1:59AM NZDT on 20 March 2023) (Promotion Period).


  • To enter, you need to:


(1) Follow the prompts on the Afterpay mobile app to opt-into the Promotion; and then 


(2)Make a purchase of $30 (in your local currency) or more, in a single transaction, online or in-store, using Afterpay during the Promotion Period (Eligible Entry).


(Weekend 1 and Weekend 2, together the Promotion Period).


  • You can enter more than once, but each person can only win one prize (except for South Australian residents).


  • Each Daily Draw will draw 10 winners (Daily Winner) from all Eligible Entries received within that day to which the Daily Draw relates (see section 13 for full details). Daily Winners will be notified by text and email and have their names published at https://www.afterpay.com/en-AU/wwterms for a minimum of 28 days.


  • Each Daily Winner drawn from Daily Draws associated with Eligible Entries received within that day to which the Daily Draw relates will receive 1 x prepaid VISA gift card with a prepaid value of AU$250 (maximum value of NZ$270.25 as at 7 March 2023). The total prize pool value for the Promotion is AU$10,000 (maximum value of NZ$10,809.86 as at 7 March 2023). 


  • Your Personal Information may be used by the Promoter and disclosed to third parties for various purposes (see sections 23-24 for full details).


  • Winners consent to their first and last name being published by the Promoter (including on the Promoter’s social media platforms) for marketing purposes.

  • You can enter more than once, but each person can only win one prize (except for South Australian residents).


  • Each Daily Draw will draw 5 winners (Daily Winner) from all Eligible Entries received within that day to which the Daily Draw relates (see section 13 for full details). Daily Winners will be notified by text and email and have their names published at https://www.afterpay.com/en-AU/wwterms for a minimum of 28 days.


  • Each Daily Winner drawn from Daily Draws associated with Eligible Entries received during Weekend 1 and Weekend 2 will receive 1 x prepaid VISA gift card with a prepaid value of AU$250 (maximum value of NZ$281.70 as at 6 October 2022). The total prize pool value for the Promotion is AU$10,000 (maximum value of NZ$11,268 as at 6 October 2022). 


  • Your Personal Information may be used by the Promoter and disclosed to third parties for various purposes (see sections 22-24 for full details).


  • Winners consent to their first name being published by the Promoter (including on the Promoter’s social media platforms) for marketing purposes.

The Promotion Partner is Prize Brokers Pty Ltd (ABN 13 135 826 747) at Suite 222, 117 Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale, NSW 2100, who may benefit from the undertaking of this competition.

Eligibility

Entry is open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 18 years old and over who have an active Afterpay customer account (Eligible Entrants)

4.

Employees and other staff (and their immediate family members) of the Promoter or the Promotion Partner are ineligible to enter.

5.

Entrants are subject to all applicable laws, and entries will be deemed void where prohibited by law.

6.

By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. In case of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any other published material, these terms and conditions prevail.

The Promotion opens each day at 8:00AM AEDT (10:00AM NZDT) on 16 March 2023 and closes at 11:59PM AEDT on 19 March 2023  (1:59AM NZDT on 20 March 2023) (Promotion Period).

(1)opens at 9:00AM AEDT (11:00AM NZDT) and closes at 9:00PM AEDT (11:00PM NZDT) each day from 3 November 2022 to 6 November 2022 (inclusive) (Weekend 1);


(2)opens at 9:00AM AEDT (11:00AM NZDT) and closes at 9:00PM AEDT (11:00PM NZDT) each day from 10 November 2022 to 13 November 2022 (inclusive) (Weekend 2);


(Weekend 1 and Weekend 2 together the Promotion Period).

To enter, Eligible Entrants must:

(1) Follow the prompts on the Afterpay mobile app to opt-into the Promotion; and then 


(2) Make a purchase of $30 (in your local currency) or more, online or in-store, using Afterpay, during the Promotion Period (Eligible Entry).


Eligible Entrants may enter more than once and there is no maximum number of Eligible Entries per Eligible Entrant. All entries become the property of the Promoter for use by the Promoter without attribution or compensation.


For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Entrants need only opt-into the Promotion via the Afterpay mobile app once during the Promotion Period and the Eligible Purchases will be denominated in the Eligible Entrant’s local resident currency.


Bonus Entries:.


  • Eligible Entrants whose Eligible Purchase is made in-store using the Afterpay Card will receive one (1) additional entry per Eligible Purchase, if they otherwise satisfy the entrance criteria in sections 8(1) and (2), above.

Entries that the Promoter suspects to be fraudulent, incomplete, incorrect or misleading, or may damage the Promoter’s reputation may be disqualified. Entrants who breach these terms and conditions may be disqualified. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.

10.

It is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter should their contact details change during the Promotion Period.

There is no fee to enter this competition.

Prizes and winning


12.

There will be one (1) draw for the Eligible Entries received between 8:00AM AEDT (10:00AM NZDT) and 09:00PM AEDT (11:00PM NZDT) for each day of the Promotion Period (each a Daily Draw) (meaning there will be 1 Daily Draw for each day of the Promotion Period, and the Promotion will have a total of 4 Daily Prize Draws). The Daily Draws will take place using an approved, randomised computer drawing system at Mike Da Silva & Associates, Level 16, 1 Denison Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 Australia, and on the following schedule:


(1) Daily Draws associated with Eligible Entries received during the Promotion Period will be conducted from 2:00PM AEDT (4:00PM NZDT) on 22 March 2023;


For further avoidance of doubt, there will be 1 Daily Draw for all entries received within that day to which the Daily Draw relates from both Australia and New Zealand collectively with 10 Daily Winners (defined below) chosen.


For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Entries received that are not deemed a Daily Winner of that Daily Draw will not be entered into future Daily Draws.

13.

Each Daily Draw will draw 10 winners (Daily Winners) from all Eligible Entries received within that day to which the Daily Draw relates (meaning the Promotion will have 10 Daily Winners for each day of the Promotion Period, and the Promotion will have a total of 40 Daily Winners. Daily Winners will be notified by text and email and have their first and last names published within 2 business days of the associated draw date on 22 March 2023 for at least 28 days, from 24 March 2023).

Each Daily Winner drawn from Daily Draws associated with Eligible Entries received within that day to which the Daily Draw relates will receive 1 x prepaid VISA gift card with a prepaid value of AU$250 (maximum value of NZ$270.25 as at 7 March 2023). The total prize pool value for the Promotion is AU$10,000 (maximum value of NZ$10,809.86 as at 7 March 2023). AU Daily Winners will be given a digital gift card (“Digital Card”). NZ Daily Winners will be given a physical gift card (“Physical Card”).


15.

Prizes are subject to any terms and conditions (which may be notified to winners upon confirmation of the award of the prize). Lost, mutilated, or stolen gift cards will not be replaced. Redemption is subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer (which include the terms located at the following link for AU Daily Winners: https://truerewards.com.au/visa-gift-card-terms, and terms located at the following link for NZ Daily Winners: https://rewardscometrue.com.au/information/visa-tcs/). AU Daily Winners must activate the Digital Card within 6 months of issue, and the Digital Card will expire 36 months after activation. NZ Daily Winners must activate the Physical Card within 6 months of issue, and the Physical Card will expire 12 months after activation.


16.

If any prizes remain unclaimed after reasonable attempts to contact a Daily Winner, this will be published at https://www.afterpay.com/en-AU/wwterms 30 days after the initial prize draw dates. A draw for any unclaimed prize may take place using an approved, randomized computer drawing system at 9:00AM AEDT (11:00AM NZDT) on 28 April 2023 at Mike Da Silva & Associates, Level 16,1 Denison Street, North Sydney NSW 2060, Australia, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.


17.

Any redraw winner will be notified by text and email within 2 business days of the unclaimed prize draw on 2 May 2023 and will have their name published on https://www.afterpay.com/en-AU/wwterms for at least 30 days from 2 May 2023.


18.

The Promoter may request reasonable identification from winners to confirm their identity and eligibility to enter. Any failure to do so may result in disqualification.


19.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for prizes lost, misplaced or otherwise not delivered to a winner. If any prize or part of a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside of the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.


20.

The Promoter’s decision on any aspect of this promotion is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

21.

No bonus prizes shall be awarded.

Marketing and privacy


22.

Personal Information, for the purposes of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not. Personal Information, for the purposes of the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ), means information about an identifiable individual and includes information related to a death.

23.

Entrants consent to their entry and Personal Information being used by the Promoter for marketing purposes. The Promoter may use, reproduce or modify the entry in any way without any further reference, payment or compensation to the entrant.

24.

Personal Information collected will be used in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (https://www.afterpay.com.au/privacy/ for Australian entrants and https://www.afterpay.com/en-nz/privacy-policy for New Zealand entrants). The Promoter may disclose Personal Information to other organizations (including third parties) for the purposes of conducting the promotion, promotional marketing, publicity, research and profiling. Entrants may access or change their Personal Information by contacting the Promoter by email at [email protected] for Australian entrants and [email protected] for New Zealand entrants. 


Other terms

These terms and conditions do not limit, modify or exclude consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ). The Promoter may amend any of these terms and conditions if required to comply with applicable laws.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for errors (technical or human), technical failures or malfunctions except where caused by the Promoter’s fraud, negligence or wilful misconduct.

27.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any injury, sickness, death, or property loss or damage of any kind except where caused by the Promoter’s fraud, negligence, or wilful misconduct.

28.

If the promotion cannot be run as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter may, subject to licensing authority approval, alter, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to notify you should this occur by publishing a notice on its website.

  16. There will be a total of 1 winner(s), who will be notified by email within 2 business days of the draw date on 10 November 2021. The winner’s name will be published on https://www.afterpay.com/en-AU/fashion-laureate-peoples-choice-award/ within 2 business days of the draw date on 10 November 2021 for at least 28 days.

  17. The winner will receive AUD1,000 credit to their Afterpay account to be spent at the brand that they voted for. If the winner does not have an Afterpay account, the winner must set-up an Afterpay account in order to redeem the credit. Total prize pool value is AUD$1,000. Prizes are subject to any terms and conditions (which may be notified to the winner by the Promoter upon confirmation of the award of the prize).
