2018 sees the Shadow Project collaboration between Stone Island and the design team of Michaela Sachenbacher and Errolson Hugh, also known as ACRONYM®, enter its 10th year. To celebrate this anniversary the forward-thinking techwear label presents perhaps its most impressive piece of innovative fabric research yet - 'Scarabeo', a polyester based technical fabric with a distinctive iridescent sheen caused by the application of a glass bead coating to the fabric's outer surface. An all-over graphic pattern is then applied, resulting in a seemingly infinitely textured and coloured light show across the surface of the jacket.

TELA STELLA - SPECIAL 30TH ANNIVERSARY PIECE
Faithful re-edition of a piece of the first Stone Island collection
Anorak in cotton canvas, inspired by an enquire on the technical characteristics of army trucks tarpaulin cloths. This cotton canvas is impregnated on both sides with contrasting pigment special resins. The fabric undergoes then a long lasting enzyme wash to achieve a faded aspect. The result is a wind resistant material, with the flavour of marine weather corroded oilskin pieces and with a strong military feel.
