Afterpay automatically charges the original payment method for each installment on its due date. We’ll send you a reminder before each installment is due. Make sure your account has enough money to cover the payment.
To make your payments manually, read How do I turn off Autopay? For more information about revoking payment authorization, read Disabling Autopay.
Bundled payments
Afterpay may combine eligible installments into one transaction when they’re due on the same date and use the same eligible payment method.
We bundle Pay in 4 orders separately from Pay in 4 orders with a finance fee. We don’t include Pay Monthly orders in automatic payment bundling.
If a charge is different from what you expected, review your payment confirmation email. It shows which installments were included.
Make a payment manually
You can pay your total outstanding balance or choose a custom amount. Read Can I pay my entire owing balance or multiple payments in one transaction?
If an automatic payment is declined
We’ll send you an SMS and email if your automatic payment is declined. We may then try to collect the payment from another card on your account.
If the payment remains outstanding after the applicable grace period, you may be charged a late fee of up to $8. Your repayment history may affect future purchases, so make the payment as soon as possible. If you’re concerned that you can’t make a payment, contact us for support.
To make an overdue payment, log in to the Afterpay app or website. Read How do I make payments? for instructions.
Pay in 4 orders without a finance fee
You can use a bank account or make payments manually on or before the due date. To make a manual payment, select Pay in your account on the Afterpay app or website.
You can only use a personal debit card as the payment method for a Pay in 4 order with a finance fee.
