Account statements FAQ

Afterpay provides monthly account statements in the Afterpay app. When your statement is ready, we’ll email you a link to view it in the app. Update the app to the latest version to access your statement.

When will I receive an account statement?

Your statement date is based on the date you opened your Afterpay account. For example, if you opened your account on 15 June, your statement will be available on or around the 15th of each month.

If you opened your account on a date that does not occur every month, such as the 31st, your statement will be available on the first day of the following month.

What period will my account statement cover?

Each statement covers approximately 30 days of account activity. For example, if your statement is available on the 15th of each month, it covers activity from the 15th of the previous month through the end of the 14th of the current month.

Can I generate a statement for a specific period?

No. We can only provide a statement for the specified statement period. You can view activity outside that period in the Afterpay app or on the Afterpay website.

Can I opt out of statement notification emails?

No. We must send certain information about your Afterpay account, including account statements, payment reminders, and other important updates. We’ll continue to send these service messages even if you opt out of marketing messages.

You can update your marketing communication preferences in Settings in the Afterpay app.

Will I always receive a monthly account statement?

You’ll receive a statement if your account was active during the statement period. Activity includes placing an order, carrying an outstanding balance, making a payment, or incurring an unpaid fee.

You won’t receive a statement if there were no debits or credits during the statement period and your outstanding balance was $0.

Will I receive a statement after closing my account?

Yes. We’ll generate a final statement and email you when it’s available.

How can I get my statement if I can’t access the app?

Contact Afterpay to request a copy by email.

Pay Monthly statements

Pay Monthly doesn’t have a traditional account statement like a credit card. Your payment schedule serves as your statement and shows each instalment, due date, amount, and payment status.

You can find your payment schedule in:

  • The Afterpay app: Go to My Afterpay, then select your Pay Monthly order.

  • The Afterpay web portal: Sign in, then open your Pay Monthly order.

  • The activation email sent when your order’s payment schedule is confirmed.

You can download your order agreement and payment authorisation from your Pay Monthly order in the app or web portal. Read Payment schedule and autopay for more information.
