Eligible customers can purchase gift cards from a variety of popular retailers directly in the Afterpay app. To check your eligibility, open the Afterpay app and go to the Shop tab.

Gift card availability, and the range of retailers on offer, may be limited for some customers. We determine availability based on factors like how long you've been an Afterpay customer and your repayment history. This means the retailers available to you may change over time.
The better your repayment history, the more gift card options you'll have.
How it works
Select a retailer and choose your gift card amount.
Complete your purchase — your first installment is taken at checkout.
Your gift card will be saved to the Card tab in the Afterpay app, and delivered to your email.
How to redeem your gift card
Afterpay currently works with two gift card issuers, Prezzee and Blackhawk Network (BHN). Your gift card will be saved to the Card tab in the Afterpay app. They will continue to appear in the Card tab until you have used them and marked them as redeemed.
Not sure which issuer your card is from? You’ll see “Gift Cards issued by Prezzee” or “Gift Cards issued by Blackhawk” when you buy it, and the same is shown in your redemption email.
If your gift card is issued by Prezzee
Open the Afterpay app and go to the Card tab, then select your gift card.
Prezzee gift cards are managed in the Prezzee app. Tap the activation link to open your card in the Prezzee app — you'll need to download it if you don't have it already.

Use your gift card at the retailer (in-store or online, depending on the card).
Check your remaining balance on the retailer’s website.
Once fully used, toggle "Mark as Redeemed" in the Afterpay app to keep track.
If your gift card is issued by Blackhawk Network (BHN)
Open the Afterpay app and go to the Card tab to view your card details.
Use your gift card at the retailer:
In-store: present the barcode at the register.
Online: copy the card number (and PIN, if required) and enter it at checkout on the retailer’s website.
Check your remaining balance on the retailer’s website.
Once fully used, toggle "Mark as Redeemed" in the Afterpay app to keep track.
Important
Gift cards purchased through Afterpay are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled.
Gift cards are digital only.
If you're purchasing a gift card for someone else, the card details are sent to the email address you provide at checkout.
Why is my gift card order being declined?
Afterpay makes a decision to approve or decline every purchase. This decision is managed entirely by Afterpay — the retailer does not control whether your order is approved.
There are several reasons an order may be declined, including fraud prevention. Afterpay does not approve 100% of purchase attempts, but we make a fresh assessment each time you try.
