Restated Vintage founder Ben Randall on how Afterpay has helped grow his business.

When Restated Vintage started offering Afterpay, the results were immediate. “Our sales doubled, instantly,” says founder Ben Randall.

That was in 2018, and since then Restated Vintage has gone on to become one of Australia’s largest vintage e-commerce sites, posting 400 new second-hand pieces on to its website every day.

For Randall, offering Afterpay was a straightforward decision. The vast majority of Restated Vintage customers are under 30 “and pretty much everyone our age uses Afterpay”.

“Our customers are our number one priority… and Afterpay offers flexibility for our customers. It makes it more manageable for customers to handle the upfront costs.”

Restated Vintage has also participated in several of Afterpay’s Support Small events.

“We’ve always jumped at the chance. The sale produces great results for us but more importantly gets our brand out there and allows customers to support small businesses they might otherwise not have found.”

His advice to other retailers thinking about partnering with Afterpay? “Why think about it? You’re leaving money on the table if you don’t offer it.
